Cairo / Alexandria, Egypt – June 2026 – Egypt officially joins the Future Leaders Platform this month through the launch of three interconnected initiatives designed to strengthen hospitality and tourism talent development.
Taking place between 22 and 24 June 2026, the inaugural Egypt edition will bring together students, educators, industry leaders, and government representatives through the Craft & Culture Challenge Egypt, the Future Leaders Challenge Egypt, and the School Directors Alliance Egypt.
Together, these initiatives will celebrate Egypt's rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship, strengthen alignment between education and industry, and help equip the next generation of hospitality and tourism professionals with the skills, experience, and networks needed to succeed.
The program begins with the Craft & Culture Challenge Egypt on 22 June at Ramses Hilton Cairo, followed by the Future Leaders Challenge Egypt and School Directors Alliance Egypt on 23 and 24 June at Hilton Alexandria King's Ranch.
Built on the principle of Community over Competition, the Future Leaders Platform encourages collaboration, shared learning, and collective progress between all stakeholders, creating stronger pathways between education and employment while supporting the long-term growth of the hospitality and tourism industry.
Craft & Culture Challenge Egypt
The Craft & Culture Challenge focuses on celebrating, preserving, and reinventing Egypt's rich cultural and culinary heritage.
Working at the intersection of culture, tourism, innovation, and workforce development, participating student teams are challenged to translate Egyptian heritage into contemporary guest experiences through storytelling, creativity, and craftsmanship.
The initiative aims to elevate vocational roles, strengthen cultural identity, enhance destination attractiveness, and inspire greater pride in the traditions, skills, and professions that help define Egypt's hospitality and tourism sector.
Future Leaders Challenge Egypt
The Future Leaders Challenge is an immersive leadership and employability challenge connecting top hospitality and tourism students with real-world industry cases and senior leaders.
Participating teams work on a strategic challenge defined by the Strategic Board before presenting their recommendations during the live event. The initiative encourages innovation, critical thinking, and collaboration while providing opportunities for mentorship, networking, recruitment, and industry exposure.
By bringing students and decision-makers together around real industry challenges, the initiative helps develop future-ready leaders while giving organisations valuable insight into the perspectives of the next generation.
School Directors Alliance Egypt
The School Directors Alliance is an international network of educational leaders focused on strengthening alignment between education and industry.
The initiative brings together school directors, universities, industry leaders, and government stakeholders to discuss employability, internships, graduate placements, curriculum relevance, and the future of hospitality and tourism education.
By fostering collaboration and creating a collective voice for hospitality and tourism education, the alliance aims to strengthen graduate outcomes and help ensure educational pathways better reflect industry needs.
The Egypt edition is guided by a Strategic Board comprising leaders from hospitality, education, and industry:
• Alessandro Redaelli – Vice President Operations North Africa & Levant, Hilton
• Affaf Al-Oufy – Vice President, Alexandria University
• Dalia Amer – General Manager, Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Center Alexandria
